Nakiska will open top to bottom skiing this Friday, Saturday and Sunday. A large and fierce snowstorm dropped loads of snow over the weekend and continued positive snow-making efforts have allowed Nakiska to open up some of the biggest early season vertical in the Canadian Rockies. Over 2800 feet of skiing vertical will be open this weekend.

Big snowstorm hits Fernie Alpine Resort November 16th to delight of skiers and riders

Massive early season storms continue to hammer the Canadian Rockies pummeling the ski destination resorts of Fernie Alpine Resort, Kicking Horse Mountain Resort, Kimberley Alpine Resort and Nakiska.

Back to back storms as November 2nd and 3rd delivered huge amounts of snow to each of the ski resorts with Fernie Alpine Resort receiving over 80 cm of snow.

Starting November 14th another storm front rolled in and snow started late in the afternoon and continued through to November 16th. Huge accumulation was received at each resort check out these pictures from Fernie Alpine Resort and Kicking Horse Mountain Resort showing lots of white!
