Slope time is great but after skiing activities abound for all ages in these mountain towns. Bring your own or rent, as Fernie, Kimberley and Golden will have you sliding on some of the best trails around for cross country skiing and fat biking. If you like running, don’t forget to pack the trail running shoes, as many trail options exist for a short jaunt or an epic winter workout. Each community has a great offering of additional winter activities from dog sledding, ice skating, nature watching and more.

Yep it happens here. As of November 24th, Kicking Horse has already had over 8 feet of snow to date. Fernie Alpine Resort, known for legendary powder, gets up to 40 feet each winter.
