This past weekend (September 18-20) was the Golden Ultra running race. This is one of the premier mountain trail running events in Canada. Friday was the uphill race (in the pictures): 5km, 1000m of vertical gain from Kicking Horse Mountain Resort base area village all the way to the Eagles Eye Restaurant at the top
