The City of Kimberley has annouced that construction will begin on the new Paralympic Training and Conference Centre (500 person capacity), located in the base area Village of the Kimberley Alpine Resort. Strategically located next to the North Star High Speed Quad lift so that Paralympic athletes will have quick and easy access to alpine training on the purpose built Dreadnought Alpine Training Run. The Dreadnaught Alpine Training Run has training for all Alpine Ski Events- Slalom, Giant Slalom, Super G and Downhill with new Start and Finish buildings, timing and safety netting spanning the entire run. The Paralympic Training and Conference Centre will also be located next to lodging at the Trickle Creek Lodge, Polaris Lodge, Mountain Spirit Resort and Spa and many other lodging properties conveniently located next to the lifts at Kimberley Alpine Resort in British Columbia. The Paralympic Training and Conference Centre would not have been possible without the positive partnership and contribution by the City of Kimberley, Province of British Columbia (great support by Bill Bennett), and Kimberley Alpine Resort
