New this summer is extended September weekend operations at Fernie Alpine Resort so take the Timber Express Quad up to hike various trail options but best for the more the more adventurous and experienced hikers is the hike to Polar Peak starting from the trail to Lost Boys Lookout.
360 degree panorama views of peaks, into Montana and across to Alberta, greet you as you take off to the right at the pass, following a faint trail and color marks across the Lizard Range Headwall to Polar Peak. Please check into Guest Services for trail updates and information. Start early with first chair up to give yourself enough time to return to lift for downloading. Note their is a short section of this route where there is a feeling of exposure so make sure you are an experienced hiker/scrambler before taking on this trail.

Gorman Lake is a beautiful alpine gem nestled by knife edge peaks on both sides. It is a short 3.5 km hike that is perfect for families but make sure and check into the condition of the forestry road before you embark on your adventure here.
