Resorts of the Canadian Rockies (RCR) started the industry leading RCR/Husky Grade 2 FunPass which provides a full season ski pass to all Grade 2 (or 7 yrs old) students in British Columbia and Alberta. This initiative supports RCR’s committment to getting kids active and healthy in Winter! In addition to the Grade 2 FunPass, Resorts of the Canadian Rockies resorts of Fernie Alpine Resort, Kimberley Alpine Resort and Nakiska Ski Area also participate in the Grade 4/5 Snow Pass program. This provides free skiing day passes to Grade 4/5 students. It is important to note that in the Canadian Rockies (Banff region) we are the only resort operator that does not Black-out dates that the Grade 2 and or Grade 4/5 passes can be used- we do not feel this is right as for many families this will be the only time that there kids will be able to ski. We want to give kids the best opportunity to ski and snowboard and realize the positive health and family benefits of the sport. To sign up your child for the Grade 2 please visit www.skircr.com or www.skifernie.com, or www.skikimberley.com and or www.skinakiska.com . For the Grade 4/5 please visit any Sport Chek location and or www.snowpass.ca for more information.
