The Dunn family of Fernie, British Columbia, is not your normal family. This family goes the distance to support winter and summer sports and activities in the community of Fernie. Colleen spent years as the assistant ski school director at Marmot Basin, Jasper, Alberta before coming down the Canadian Rockies to Fernie and becoming one of the top ski pro’s at the Fernie Alpine Resort Snow School. We tip our hats to salute the extra effort of epic volunteerism that both Colleen and Thomas have done for the commmunity of Fernie. From Thomas’s role as President of the Fernie Mountain Bike Club and creating the epic bike dirt jam, ‘Wam Bam Dirt Jam’ to Colleen sitting on numerous volunteer organizations helping to raise money, get projects done and in general move Fernie forward.
Colleen and Thomas have two boys, Nick and Peter and they both rip on mountain bikes. They also have spent loads of time to build the new ‘Downhill’ trail used for the recent BC Cup Downhill Mountain Bike race. They both are proud members of the TECK/Fernie Alpine Resort Mountain Bike Team and are ranked in the top 10 best mountain bike riders in British Columbia.
It is people like the Dunn’s that keep Fernie moving forward and getting things ‘Dunn!’ Thank you again for making Fernie a better place! Enjoy your next Adventure!
