I have many friends in the lower mainland of British Columbia who battle the roads to go and ski on the weekends. Yes it is a battle even when the pavement is dry as their is just so much traffic and volume and all of those SUV's racing to their condo's each weekend on the Coquihalla. Why not take a break from this madness as you owe it to yourself. Now with additional air service frequency and larger aircraft the Powder Highway destinations of Kimberley Alpine Resort and Fernie Alpine Resort are much closer. So the next time you are having that frightful drive with numerous 18 wheelers jack knifed and only single lane traffic slowed to a crawl, act with a call, and book your flight on Pacific Coastal Airlines or Air Canada from Vancouver to Cranbrook, British Columbia (Canadian Rockies International). You will be on the ground and on the slopes before you know it! So fly to ski and skip the headache of driving the Coquihalla.
